North Shore Home-Schooling Family Network

Next meeting:

Hanalei Community Center Thursday, July 24th, 5 - 7 PM

We are working to create a support system for home-schoolers and self-learners. Please come join us for this informal-talk story meeting, if:

• You are currently home-schooling and would like to meet other home-schooling families;

• You would like to find out about home-schooling activities on the Kauai;

• You would like to find out about home-schooling programs that others are using;

• You are interested in home-schooling your child in the future;

• You need help in finding learning resources to supplement your schooled child;

• You are a tutor or instructor and wish to find new students;

• You are interested in SAT prep or GED/High School Diploma classes;

• You would like to volunteer at the center for tutoring students.

Learning Resources available:

• Math Labs

• English Labs

• Science classes

• Free computer lab

• Technology classes

• Princeville out-reach Library in Hanalei

• Friday Field Studies, organized field trips for home-schoolers; current North Shore organization that have created learning programs: Waipa Foundation, Hanalei Watershed Hui and the National Tropical Botanical Garden & the Kilauea Lighthouse.
